Similar to chin reshaping, cheek augmentations are preformed to achieve balance and harmony of facial proportions. This procedure can increase cheekbone prominence and correct sallow cheeks as well as smooth some facial lines and wrinkles.

Your particular facial proportions, cheekbone structure, skin tone and gender are some of the factors that tailor the surgery to you. All incisions are made in the mouth, and will leave no visible scars. The implants used can be synthetic or part of your own bone or tissue, and your surgeon will advise which is best for you. You may return home on the same day as your procedure.

Complications such as bleeding or infection are rare, and numbness is usually temporary. Your surgeon will discuss the possibility of asymmetry with you, although this is also rare because implants are fixed in place. After one week any swelling will begin to subside, with most disappearing after six weeks. Like the chin reshaping, results are permanent.
